Lessons in the Janice Smith Piano Studio are designed to meet the individual student's needs - whatever they may be - at any age. Students are not only taught how to read music and understand rhythm, but to express themselves and share the gift of music with others.
Every lesson is specifically designed to address the issues presented that day, with problem-solving ideas and techniques presented so that the student understands what their practice goals will be and how to accomplish them.

PERFORMANCE PREPARATION
Performance is an essential component of the learning process. With several concert opportunities throughout the year, students acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to take center stage with confidence.
Students will be guided, shaped and prepared for the moment to step on stage; the moment when all their training and preparation come into focus and the energy they give comes back to them in the appreciation of an audience.
